INTEGRATION CHATROOM 7th Edition

For this edition of ICR, we want to explore the building blocks of cultural identity and ask the question: Who Are You? We want to talk about the journey of self-discovery within diverse communities. Which cultures do you identify with? Which do you feel you are entitled to claim? Many find themselves in between, both here and there or sometimes in a whole other spectrum which has yet to be defined. We want to give participants the chance to share their experiences: What is it like to come from a family with different cultures? Are there parts of one’s heritage that are worn as a badge of pride or hidden instead? Where is home?

Join us for this informal and friendly evening where we meet new people and listen to personal stories and maybe even learn something about ourselves in the process. This event is sponsored by Wijdoenmee.Nu and is in collaboration with Reach & Teach.

Willen we voor deze editie van ICR de bouwstenen van culturele identiteit verkennen en de vraag stellen: Wie ben jij? We willen praten over de reis van zelfontdekking binnen verschillende gemeenschappen. Met welke culturen identificeer je je? Welke vind jij dat je recht hebt om te claimen? Velen bevinden zich hiertussen, zowel hier en daar als soms in een heel ander spectrum dat nog moet worden gedefinieerd. We willen deelnemers de kans geven hun ervaringen te delen: hoe is het om uit een gezin met verschillende culturen te komen? Zijn er delen van iemands erfgoed die worden gedragen als een teken van trots of in plaats daarvan worden verborgen? Waar is thuis?
